Dwelling Fire Program
(ACV – Actual Cash Value)
Owner, Tenant, Renters Contents, Dwellings being remodeled, seasonal
Our Dwelling Policy Program is designed to include all of the above various occupancies, and can be tailored to the needs of individuals who may otherwise be screened from available coverage’s by other insurers due to the special hazards present. We work with our producers to provide coverage to those special risks, or to those with rental property. Supporting coverage is not required to be eligible for coverage.
Personal Liability Coverage is available for owner occupied dwellings. Premises Liability Coverage is available for Tenant, Vacant, and Seasonal Occupancies.
Dwelling Fire (Vacant)
We recognize that many individuals, for economic and various other reasons, sometimes “under-insure” vacant dwellings to replacement value, which violates historic “Insurance to Value” principles. We prefer to offer limits less than market value, and by doing so, we fill a need for customers not wanting to or unable to purchase insurance to replacement value.
Transferred owners of property, property being held in estate, unoccupied or vacant property in the hands of a realtor, and property being remodeled are eligible for coverage. Our individual approach to underwriting vacant risks allows us to offer an economic alternative to a high risk situation through use of deductibles, ACV coverage limitation, and an application of basic peril coverage. Co-insurance clauses are generally not applied.
Specified Peril Homeowner ‘8’
Our SPHO-8 program is an actual cash value (ACV) program providing coverage for insureds who may not qualify for many insurers standard homeowner coverage form. Our HO-8 form can be restricted or expanded to fit the particular needs of an insured, as we tailor-fit and customize this product versus a 1-size-fits-all approach.
We do not automatically “screen out” those with credit or loss history or other situations, nor do we automatically decline those with animals, ATV’s, swimming pools, or trampolines as do some other insurers. Our coverage can be restricted to omit these perils, therefore allowing the customer the pleasure of a named peril, ACV Homeowner Policy, providing other structure, contents, additional living expense, personal liability and Med Pay (to others) coverage.
We invite you to call us before considering other alternatives such as state property fair plans, as your customers may qualify, due to our ability to tailor-made coverage.
